Some faces just call you to capture them, yeah?
Inspired by my many travels across the world as a teenager, I was moved by those who we might deem "less fortunate." (However, what I often discovered were they were far richer than I might ever come to know.)
This piece was done by unconventional means - Cattle Markers. Yup, you heard that right. You can get these giant oil based paint sticks at a local feed store (I'm from Texas, Y'all, we gotta get creative!). They come in bright, vivant colors and are used to mark the cattle for the ranchers. Because they are so thick, they leave wonderful paint-stroke textures on the finished product.
So, combining the two, behold! I present to you Saint.
- Dimensions: 12 x 18 unframed
- Framed Dimensions: 18 x 24 x .5
Cheers!
